Open Call Editions

The Fotomoto Open Call seeks to encourage photography submissions from photographers from around the archipelago. This format is Fotomoto’s way of bringing Philippine photography to the fore through diversity, inclusivity, and discovery. It is a unique initiative that enables art photographers to share and exhibit their work at premiere art spaces all over the country.

In its past two editions, Fotomoto has showcased over 762 fine art photograph prints, from 267 photographers, in over 17 venues.

  • Portraits

The inaugural theme of Portraits (2021) was selected as a response to the prolonged isolation that many experienced throughout the pandemic. • Home

Launched in 2022, Home expanded from the individual and the self to our immediate surroundings. The sense of home, while tied to places, was also interpreted in abstract ways–as a feeling, relationship or ritual.

    February 2025 | Ayala Museum

We are defined by our archipelagic habitat: both fragmented and linked by water. This has dictated our movements — in constant transit, and our practices — in constant change. Dynamic state of flux has made us hybrid, polycultural, and adaptable. It has given rise to complex geopolitics, environmental issues, and social divides.

The Fotomoto Open Call 2025 invited responses to how life in an archipelago has shaped, and continues to shape, our identities, and our communities.
