Alee Garibay
Alee Garibay (b. 1989) is a painter and cultural worker based in Cavite. She got her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman (magna cum laude). Receiving awards for her works in oil and watercolour as a student, Alee has since mounted a couple of solo exhibitions and regularly participates in group shows.
She was the Philippine delegate for the Visual Arts at the 2010 ASEAN Youth Camp, in Hanoi, Vietnam. She co-organized the Project Bakawan Environmental Arts Festival in UP-Diliman in 2015 and was part of the team behind the Paghilom Arts Festivals 1-3 (Cavite, 2017, 2019, 2020), the Pagkarahay Arts Festival (Camarines Sur, 2018) and the Raniag Alcala Arts Fiesta (Cagayan, 2020).
As Executive Director of Artletics Inc, she co-runs the Linangan Art Residency in Alfonso, Cavite which hones artist-leaders in creating art that is definitive of Philippine culture.
