My mom's side of the family is from a small village in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, and our last visit was in February 2020; just a couple weeks before all travel into & out of the Philippines was suspended due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Although I wasn't born in the Philippines, this place still feels like home. Having the chance to reunite with family and hear my mom recall stories from her youth are what I look forward to the most. The photographs in this series represent some of my treasured moments over the two-and-a-half weeks I spent in the barangay.
